We are Angie and John, and we are thrilled to welcome you to our website, dedicated to supporting Marine Corps recruits, Marines, and their loved ones.
Our journey began when our son enlisted in the Marine Corps in April 2021, during the height of the pandemic. As proud parents, we experienced a whirlwind of emotions and uncertainties as he embarked on his path to becoming a Marine.
John is a Marine Corps veteran who served from 1990 to 2008. Despite his extensive experience, it had been over 30 years since he went through boot camp, and we found ourselves unfamiliar with the "process" our recruit was experiencing.
During these challenging times, we joined Facebook groups, Googled anything and everything about boot camp, and absorbed all the information we could find to better understand and support our son.
Our son faced unique challenges due to the pandemic. Before the start of boot camp, he spent two weeks in quarantine at a hotel in San Diego before proceeding to MCRD. He also went straight to his follow-on training at Camp Pendleton after graduation since they did not get “boot” leave during that time.
This experience motivated us to share our insights, resources, and encouragement with fellow Marine loved ones navigating the boot camp journey.
At our core, we are passionate about helping young men and women and their loved ones during their Marine Corps journey. Whether you're feeling anxious, excited, or curious about what lies ahead, we're here to provide support and guidance every step of the way.
